$249, 45% lighter than Kindle/Sony Reader, 8 Shades of Gray, 170 DPI, 1GB internal RAM + SD Card slot, can view JPG/PDF/EPUB/TXT. No wireless.
I think I dig it. $249 is definitely one of those magical price points that makes me stop thinking and start throwing down the plastic. The lack of wireless doesn’t make me super happy, but in all honesty I think I only believe I need wireless in an eReader because I’ve been told so often that I do. In reality, I probably don’t need instant access with books the way I do with music and apps. I usually download an app because I need it right this second to help with something I’m currently doing. Music I rarely download anywhere but at home. I also don’t tend to get ADHD with books like I do with music. I might flick through 30 albums finding something I’m in the mood for, but when I pick a book, I stick to it.
Though I suppose that’s a behavior that might change when I have 300 books on me at once.
