So, apparently, people still at least look at Newsweek’s cover. And some of them are pissed. Our Official Response, here.

I done did some writin’ about this here “controversy” for the Yahoo! front page earlier today.

I mean, what are these people angry about? She posed for the goddamn photo! There is no manipulation here that makes Sarah Palin look more like a WWE Diva than a fucking state governor… that’s all Sarah!
But hey, we know this game by now: SP knows she can get her way by inciting that 0.01% of the country who she has already manipulated into thinking she’s a patriotic hero. It has all these disruptive culture effects and it does nothing for good governance, but that wasn’t the point anyway. This is how you dominate the conversation. And it will keep happening until people stop letting that 0.01% take over conversations. Grow some balls, America!

The real story is that she is holding the new “Double Keypad Blackberry”. Who do you know at RIM, Palin??

At first I was like meh.  But then I LOL’d.

I dislike Sarah Palin as much as the next guy, but its a cheap shot to use a photo from Runner’s World as the Newsweek cover. There’s probably about 10 different bat-shit insane things she says in this interview that are much fairer game to go after her on then to try to pass the idea that she thought this was appropriate attire for a Newsweek shoot.
That is unless Newsweek tipped her off on their plans to transition into ’MILF Monthly’.
