Another Movie Trailer of the Day: Beauty Is Embarrassing is a feature-length documentary about noted American artist Wayne White that’s set to premiere at this year’s SXSW.

White, a jack of awesome trades, is known to most as the guy who designed the sets and puppets for Pee Wee’s Playhouse, but he also crafted the Georges Méliès-inspired Smashing Pumpkins music video for “Tonight, Tonight” and painted the cover art for Lambchop’s Nixon among many, many other things.

Needless to say, he’s a very interesting man.

No theatrical release date has yet been set.

This looks incredible. When I was in probably 3rd or 4th grade I had a Billy Baloney ventriloquist dummy (I was a huge Pee-wee fan) that I would bring in for show and tell. I’d sit up in front of the class and Billy would “take questions” which almost always would just lead to “him” just berating the audience. Usually my teacher would have to interject and cut the act short.
